Special Module Questions: How to gain the maximum out of them?

Special module questions require a different approach than multiple choice questions, and you have to be very careful in attempting them. Unlike multiple-choice questions, you may or may not get the answer options to choose from. These questions check your understanding of the technology and are more difficult than multiple-choice questions. However, if you practice, you can be very comfortable while attempting these questions and also score well in the test. This article will acquaint you with the different types of special module questions. You will also get to know how to attempt them and gain the maximum out of them.

Depending upon the exam you are taking, you can get all or any of the following types of special module questions:

Hot Spot

Hotspot questions present you an image with a certain area (called HotSpotArea) marked for the correct answer. When you click on an area in the image, a target icon appears on the clicked spot. If you click on the right area, you will get full marks, otherwise you will get zero.

Drag & Drop

In Drag and Drop type questions, two sets of boxes are shown on a background Image.

  1. PlaceHolder
  2. Droppable

The placeholder object is used to hold the droppable object. The Droppable object can be dragged and dropped on the placeholder. If you drop the object on the correct placeholder, you will get full marks.

Choose and Reorder the List

To answer the Choose and Reorder the List type of questions, you have to select the correct items from the list of choices on the right hand side of the screen and bring them to the left hand side of the screen. To bring items one by one to the left hand side of the screen, click on the item in the right hand side of the screen, and then click the left arrow button.

Once the items have been selected and brought to the left hand side of the screen, you can rearrange them as you want. To rearrange the list of answers, you have to select the items to be moved up or down, and then use the up or down arrow button to move them.

To remove an item from the left side screen, select the item and click the right arrow button.

Create A Tree

Tree view type questions are very similar to Choose and Reorder type questions. To answer the Create a Tree type questions, you have to select the appropriate item from the list of items on the right side of the screen and place them under the node of the tree.

To add Items or the questions under the nodes, select the destination node on the left side of the screen, select the item from the list of items on the right side of the screen, and then click the left arrow button to move the items.

To remove an item from the tree, you should select the item and click the right arrow button, or you can drag the item from the tree back to the list of items on the right side of the screen. You will score two points for each item that appears under the correct node in the tree. And if the item is incorrect, one point will be deducted for each incorrect item.

Simulation

This is the most versatile type of question. It presents you with a dialog box, and you have to actually perform multiple steps as required by the question. It simulates the actual software and tests your practical knowledge on the subject and also measures your performance required to solve the issue.

We have included all these types of questions in the PrepKit, so that you can practice and be familiar with them. So, just take the tests, prepare well and we assure you that you will be more confident at the testing center. We wish you good luck for your exams.
